Margaret (Peggy) Muredda
Passed away on Wednesday May 30 th , 2018 at Luther Woods Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center
surrounded by her family. She was 83 years old.
Peggy was born and raised in Girardville, PA. She was the daughter of Catherine Singley. She was
preceded in death by her husband Lewis J. Muredda in 2016. Her sister Lorraine Tophoney, Her brother
Michael Singley.
Peggy and Louie moved to Hatboro where they raised their five children. Peggy enjoyed long walks,
gardening, cooking and shopping. Her door was always open and there was always plenty to eat. She
enjoyed volunteer work at her parish St John Bosco. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her
family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a wonderful sense of humor.
Peggy is survived by her five children, Mary Ellen Angely (Barry), John Muredda (Sue), Tracey Muredda,
Joe Muredda (Carol), Joann Muredda.13 grandchildlren and 9 great grandchildren with two more on the
way. She is also survived by her sister, Patty Kendricks of Shenandoah, PA. Her sister in law Rita
Simononis, of Horsham PA and her brother in law Joe Muredda, of Girardville PA. as well as many nieces
and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 8 th at St John Bosco Parish, 215 E. County Line Rd in Hatboro,
PA Guests will be received from 9:30 until 11am followed by mass. A private burial will be held at a later
date at the convenience of her family.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations in Peggy’s name be made to the Alzheimer’s
Association, Del Val Chapter, Team Beautiful Minds, 399 Market St., Suite 102, Phila., PA 19106.
