James Wolfgang, formerly of Warminster, PA peacefully passed to eternal life on Friday, April 27, 2018 at the Southeastern Veterans Center in Spring City, PA, where he was a resident for the past two years. He was loved by all at the VA home.
He was born June 28, 1923 to Merle and Lillian Wolfgang of Sykesville, PA. Known as Wolfie to all who loved him, he served for 22 years in the United States Navy starting in WWII, serving aboard the USS White Plains. After retiring from the military, he was a firefighter serving as a civilian at the Johnsville Naval Air Station in Warminster, PA for over 20 years. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary (Muth) who was the love of his life for 67 years. He was a wonderful husband, father and provider to his family. He leaves behind his legacy in his surviving daughters, Sherrie Dean and her husband Art, Pattie Wolfgang, Jimmie Dee Derrickson and her husband Mark and blessed with six grandchildren, Denise (Robert), Michael (Tara), Heather (Jeff), Mark, Jr. (Mary), Jessica (Kyle), James (Kayla), and eight great-grandchildren, Declan, Caden, Genevieve, Logan, Olivia, Austin, Ryleigh and Addison. His life celebration will be held at Decker Funeral Home, 216 York Road, Warminster, PA at 11:00 am on Monday, April 30, 2018. Friends will be received after 10:00 am until time of the service in the funeral home. Interment, Pine Grove Cemetery, Warminster, PA.
