Obituary for David M. Pfeil

David M. Pfeil
It’s with great sadness we announce the passing of our loved one, David Martin Pfeil, on April 15,2018. He was 76 years old. Born and raised in Philadelphia to the late T. Martin and Emily (Young) Pfeil, Dave is preceded in death by his wife Kathleen (Zurn), his son Daniel and his sister Mary (Bob) Flannery. Dave is survived by his daughters Linda (George) Gianios and Diane Metzer, his grand children Mairead, Jake, Georgia-Lynn and Sean. Dave is also survived by his beloved Girlfriend Linda DeAmorin.
Dave graduated from Father Judge High School and attended college at Temple University. After high school he enlisted in the US Navy and proudly served his country from 1959 until 1962. Upon discharge Dave was wedded to Kathleen Zurn and had three children.
Dave started his career with Eastern Airlines and enjoyed a fulfilling career at Air Cargo International as well.
Dave, an avid fisherman, enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Dave travelled to many countries and was a man of great knowledge with a passion for life. He also enjoyed wintering in Stuart Florida, bowling, hanging out and fishing with his friends at Morgan Marina, rescuing turtles, tinkering with his son-in-law George, spending time with his Girlfriend Linda, Having happy hour at the “Wonderful Wynnes’ of Warminster” and cheering on The Philadelphia Phillies and EAGLES!,
Dave had a very witty, dry and sarcastic sense of humor and was a bit of a prankster with his “totally true” stories.
Friendship was very important to him as he had many friends from all aspects of his life including some of his best friends from grade school. During his illness, Dave was inspired from the tremendous outpour of love and support he received.
