Obituary for George E. Hartman

George  E.   Hartman
George E. Hartman of Horsham, Pa. passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018 at his home. He was 81 years old. Born in Bloomsburg, PA., he was the son of the late Ralph and Frances (nee Farver) Hartman.

He was the beloved husband of Carol Hartman (nee Watts) and loving father of Wayne (Rita) Hartman, Maureen (Doug) Schafer, Elyce (Michael) Balot and Rodney Hartman. He was the brother of Darla Schatz and Doris Fisher. Also surviving are his 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother Garry Hartman and grandson Christopher.

George was formerly a member of the Dixie Derby Square Dance Club, and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Warminster and the Upper Moreland Golden Age Club. He was an U. S. Army Veteran.
He was formerly employed as the manager of Suburban Dunlop Tires, Western Electric, Home Depot and Garden Golf & Go Carts.

Relatives and friends will be received Friday, February 2, 2018 after 9:00 AM until time of his Memorial Service at 11:00 AM at The First Presbyterian Church of Warminster, 500 Maple Ave., Warminster.
Interment Washington Crossing National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Wills Eye Foundation- Brady Shields Endowed Chair, 840 Walnut St., Phila., Pa. 19107 in George’s memory.
