Robert A. Pond of Ann's Choice in Warminster, PA passed away on January 3rd, 2018 at the age of 78.
Born in Philadelphia, Bob was the son of the late Joseph A. Pond and Elizabeth (Michener) Pond.
He was the beloved husband for 43 years of Katharine M. (Carr Laning) Pond, father of Barbara Anne Pond Duve (Dennis) of Florida, and stepfather of Linda K. Laning of Harleysville, PA and Wayne E. Laning (Karen) of York, PA who is father and stepfather to Bob's 7 grandchildren and step-grandchildren. He is also survived by sister-in-law Carolyn DelPopolo of Ambler, and brother-in-law Les Carr (Delores) of Tinten Falls, NJ. Bob was preceded in death by sisters Betty and Sandy, and brother Walter Pond.
Bob spent many years in the building materials business, rising to President in later years, after which he went into the antique clock movement restoration business. He retired in 2004 and moved to Ann's Choice in 2011. Hobbies include clock collecting and radio control aircraft. As a member of First Presbyterian Church of Warminster, he was treasurer in the 1980s.
A memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday, January 20th, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church of Warminster, 500 Madison Avenue, Warminster PA, 18974. The family will receive visitors at the church beginning at 10am. Interment will be private.
