Paul A. Capus of Warminster defied easy description. He was a beloved husband; dad; grandfather; dental salesman; avid sportsman and Philly sports fan; classic rock devotee who attended multiple Yes concerts; a musician; boatsman; John McCain supporter and proud of his Marine Corps service. Importantly, he was a good neighbor and dear friend to many.
Paul Capus died suddenly on Monday October 8. He is universally regarded by family and friends as a good man.
Born February 3, 1939 to John and Helen Capus. Brother to David. Husband to the dearly departed love of his life, Jeannie. Father of Stephen and Laura. Grandfather of Nicholas, Ashley, Lindsay, Max and Xan. Stepdad to his English Cocker Spaniel pup, Julie.
Mr. Capus graduated from West Chester University and Springfield High School - Delaware County.
With Jeannie, he raised his family in Warminster and Havertown, PA and had a successful career as a salesman for Benco Dental Supply and Block Drug Company.
An astute observer of the world, he watched the evening news nightly. With blood boiling, he'd have spirited discussions with his neighbors, call his children or simply talk back to the radio as his favorite host, Michael Smerconish broadcast.
Camping along the Chesapeake and, "down the shore," with family and friends made him happiest.
One person said this week, "He was the kind of guy who gave your the shirt off his back, bought you a new one, and offered some pocket change, as well."
His life will be celebrated Saturday October 13, with services at 2pm at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Palomino Drive, Warrington, PA. Friends will be received from 1:30 pm till the time of service.
